Leon and Helen Wernich
Helen grew up in Vereeniging where she finished school and then moved to Pretoria. A year later she moved back to Vereeniging where she started working for one of the biggest Steel manufacturing companies... It was while working there that Helen met Leon at their church and that was love at first sight.
Leon's father worked for the old South African Railways. As a child they did not stay in one place for more than 2 years, resulting in them moving very often. He was busy doing his apprentice ship as a panel beater in Vereeniging in 1979 when he met Helen. In October 1980 they got married. In October 2020 they will be married 40 years.
They were blessed with 2 children, and now also have a beautiful daughter in law and Grandson, all residing in Cape Town. Theresa is a captain in the SAPS and Deon a Workshop manager for a Sandmine. He also owns an online jewellery business. Deon and Nastassia ,(their daughter in law) have only one little miracle son, Nathan.
As a very young Mom Helen was involved in network marketing, those days called Party Plan, and she always knew that was the way to go. Leon was a tow truck driver, doing accidents and buying spare parts for the company he was working for. He always encouraged Helen and they gave their all for their networking career.
At the age of 36 they decided to start their own business as they wanted to have time freedom and enjoy life together. They bought a franchise. 6 years later they sold it and went back to work as employees again.
At the age of 54 they realised that 60 was around the corner and as things were going, they would never be able to retire. They were over in debited and was not in a position to ever be debt free, or so they thought. One Friday night in April 2013 Leon and Helen were in Johannesburg. Helen was very discouraged as they were so deep in debt, she could not see the light at the end of the tunnel. She asked Leon why they could not become the Lord's favourites. Little did she know... On their way back home at approximately 22h30 they stopped at the Mc Donald's in Edenvale, (and they don't even eat Mc Donald's) where they met the most amazing couple, Lionel and Ana Keenan, who also did not eat Mc Donald's but had a power failure at home. That was the evening Lionel and Ana qualified as Gold Executive Directors. They started speaking and little did Leon & Helen know this was the beginning of a whole new life.
Their journey with Mannatech has been amazing with them doing it part-time. Lionel and Ana were such amazing Upline Gold Executive Director leaders, believing in Leon & Helen, and with their encouragement and coaching, Lionel and Ana helped them to reach the pin of Gold Executive Directors very soon. Their Bronze Presidential Directors, Craig & Elize Ellis has also been mentoring with them, teaching them the importance of the system and staying close to your Upline.
At the time Leon was driving a car carrier and a Rollback breakdown, transporting accident damaged vehicles and mostly doing long distances. In November 2018 they went totally debt free thanks to Mannatech. In March 2019 Leon was put on early retirement. In the meantime they were working closely with their team, coaching them and encouraging them to reach for their dreams.
What looked like an amazing opportunity when they started, has now become a lifestyle and are so excited about their future with Mannatech, the company with the best system, compensation plan and products which everybody on planet Earth should be using.
They want to give God all the Glory for His love and compassion and for choosing them to bring Mannatech to the Vaal Triangle from where it has grown into an international, mostly online, network marketing business.
