Irene du Preez
Irene du Preez lives in a small Eastern Cape town Somerset East. She is a housewife, bookkeeper to her husband’s Attorneys firm, mother of 3 children and granny to 3 beautiful grandchildren. After school she completed a BA degree at the University of Port Elizabeth (now the NMU) majoring in languages and Psychology, followed by a post grad Higher diploma in Librarianship at the University of Pretoria where she was also later employed.
She married her varsity sweetheart Gerhard (Dupie) and they moved back to Port Elizabeth where she worked in the University library. When Dupie decided to do his attorneys articles at a firm in Grahamstown, she worked at the Rhodes University library in Grahamstown until their daughter Erika was born. They moved to Somerset East in 1986 when her husband joined a firm of attorneys. Their 2 boys were born in Somerset East. She was a stay at home mom to their 3 children, active in the community and the children’s school activities and loved it. But when the kids were grown up and left home, she felt a desperate need to do something meaningful with her life …and also wanted to earn her own income.
It was during this time that Mannatech was introduced to her by her sister, Silver PD Helena Wilken from Oudtshoorn. ‘Helena knew my heart and knew that I was in the looking zone’, Irene says. Although she didn’t join immediately and didn’t go full out with the business from the start, Irene is now, after 11 years, more excited and passionate about Mannatech than when she started. ‘I fell in love with life and myself again and started to dream again’ she said. She soon realized that she could make a difference in her and her family’s life and also in millions of other people’s lives. Through Mannatech’s self-help programme of bettering yourself, she realized she could help others to also start believing in themselves and to start dreaming of a better life… physically, mentally, spiritually and financially.
Irene found her life’s purpose in Mannatech… she loves the products… she loves the self-development system and she loves the whole Mannatech ‘family’. She also loves traveling and is grateful and very fortune to have been on many Mannatech incentives. She is not only looking forward to going on more international travels, but also to support her team to grow and to join in the next incentive.
‘When you help more people to get what they want… you get what you want!!’
