Bert and Henda Fivaz
Bert grew up on a farm and became a farmer after achieving his degree in Agricultural studies. He was living his dream with a passion and was very successful. He met Henda in 1984 while she was busy with her studies to become a teacher. They got married in 1986 and had 3 children, a daughter and two sons. Henda was a stay at home mom for about 15 years.
After severe droughts, the rise of the interest rate above 27% and the reduction of the price of maize, Bert decided to start a farming business in Zambia together with a few partners. This project didn’t succeed, and it caused some more financial challenges. In 1999, Bert and Henda lost their farm and all their belongings. They had to start all over again. This was not easy, because Bert’s passion was gone, and his dreams were destroyed.
They moved to Bloemfontein to make new beginning. Bert started doing some small construction projects in order to survive. Henda tried to get a job as a teacher, but was also not successful, because she had only one-year experience with a gap of 15 years between. In 2003, Henda got a teaching job in a miraculous way. Things went a bit better, but it was not sufficient to make ends meet.
Mannatech came across their way in 2008 and Bert saw the opportunity to make some money. They started building the business and realised that this company can really make a financial difference in their life. After starting to use the products, they were amazed by the results, because their health challenges were solved before long.
Bert and Henda had to overcome a lot of adversities during their journey with Mannatech. Although it took them a long time to reach the level of Presidential director in October 2017, they still believe that it was all worth the while. Today they are on their feet and strive to bring hope and purpose to other people’s lives.
