When Charl and Anneke got married, Charl was a fulltime farmer and Professional Tennis Coach (pasted the first Professional coaches examinations held in 1973) and Anneke a Foundation Phase Teacher. Life on the farm was great for bringing up three boys. During the 1980’s drought in North West left them with very little income from the farm and a lot of dept. Charl kept the farm going with his Tennis coaching income but by the end of 1990 they were forced to throw in the towel and had to leave the farm. Charl was also a committee member of the South African Tennis Coaches Association and member of the National Board of Examiners. Leaving the farm was a very sad and difficult time. Charl moved to Nelspruit and stayed with family for a month to start a Tennis Academy. He was blessed for his hard work and effort and was coaching to full capacity within three months.

Meanwhile Anneke was still on the farm with the boys and studying for her last exams for an extra teaching diploma in Special Education for children with special needs.

Once they moved to Nelspruit, although traumatized they all settled in well. Life was good, not abundant, but they got by and were a happy busy family. The boys were on the tennis courts with dad 5 – 6 days a week and Anneke was teaching fulltime. Charl was elected as chairperson of SATCA and was head of the National Board of Examiners for SATCA coaches’ examinations and training qualifications.

They were introduced to Mannatech in August 2006. They used some products for 4 months, when Anneke was diagnosed with a Life Threatening Disease. The 3 boys were all at University in the same Residence and together they fought this battle. By the grace of God and the help of Mannatech products to support her body, her body healed itself. Now in 2020 she has had a clean bill of health for the last 13 years. How blessed and thankful Charl, Anneke, their children and grandchildren are for the Mannatech products.

Charl who was one of the first students to study Biochemistry at Potchefstroom University was immediately intrigued by the science behind Mannatech. He studied further in Natural medicine and qualified as a Naturopath in 2008. He then started living his passion and dream after 45 years, to help people with Health challenges.

He was chosen to serve on the first Global Scientific Advisory Board of Mannatech and served a term of 5 years. This was a time of learning, studying and giving for him up to this day.

They travelled to Las Vegas and Dallas to Mannafest and what a wonderful opportunity and experience that was. 

When Anneke retired from education she joined Charl in their Mannatech Business.

To have more options with a better income, they have been able to tick a few items off on their Dream board and are working on the rest with the help of their Up line Leaders and Team.
